Valley Artisans Craft Cooperative was inspired by Mabel Young Bartlett.
Born 1891, she and her sisters operated the store as the "Pine Shop" and
sold locally made items for many years. The sisters, Laura, Hazel, and Mabel
(Young), had acquired the building from their father. The building was called
the "Flour House" and was used to store the stock for the general store in
Gossville N.H., which was called "Silver & Young" at the turn of the century.
Mabel encouraged a founding member to bring together some of the talented
people in the area to market their artistic products.
Valley Artisans members continue to follow Mabel's tradition of marketing
locally-made products. It's been through the members of the Valley Artisans
operating as a cooperative and their commitment and dedication, we have
been able to successfully provide an outlet for artisans in New Hampshire.
Our Artisans enjoy creating wonderful products such as; Decorative and
Folk art style painted one of a kind items, wooden trains and toys, glazed
pottery, Christmas Ornaments, Stained glass, Fused glass and award

dried flower arrangements line our walls, scented candles and non-scented
